Do You Have A Skeleton In Your Closet...
That you don't know what to with! Well, let me show you some places that might just work!
All jokes aside; the sites you will visit have to do with cemeteries and the dead. They are quite interesting. Over the last few months I have had the chance to visit with some nice folks from a couple of local cemeteries. They showed me pictures of their site and the various methods of burial. If a person were to be cremated, their ashes could be put in a crypt in the mausoleum or outside on the grounds of the cemetery. They use various places such as in a tree, under a rock, among some plants or wherever is available in a park like setting. Another thing they provided for the women in the family if they want (of course for a fee) are various pendent necklaces that contains some of the ashes of the deceased. They also went into the costs of the different types of burials. I almost died from shock! Good thing I was sitting down. They went into all the things that needs to happen before the funeral. Humm, another one of those death defying acts. Maybe I'm related to the cat!
Of course, there all types of burials. Some are depending on the religious values of the deceased and their family or the cultural customs of the particular group of people at the time. Yet, if you go through a funeral home they will have different things to offer. The most interesting little bit of information I found out from the 2 people I visited with is that most funeral homes do not except credit cards. I thought everyone excepted credit cards. I guess it would be hard to collect from a dead person. The funeral home might help with some financing but the most scary thing is funerals aren't cheap and the family can find themselves in financial debt fast. There seems to be expenses that a family doesn't expect or realize at the time. A word for the wise--do some family planning early. It may save some time and strain on the nerves of the family during the time of crisis.
If you are sensitive to cemeteries or the concept of things then some of these sites might not be for you. The Army has done a wonderful job about the Unknown Soldier, as well as other areas. I highly recommend their web page for families.
